About Juro Saito (JURO POTTERY)

In 1992, he studied under Mr. Yasuaki Inoue of Shodai-yaki Fumoto Kiln in Kumamoto Prefecture, then in 1998 he trained under Mr. Noriyuki Yamamoto of Iwai Kiln in Tottori Prefecture. He moved to Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and in 2016 built a four-tier climbing kiln himself, which became the base for his activities.

Speaking of Mr. Saito, slipware is the most popular, but he also makes a lot of black glaze, ash glaze, inlay and chamfer.
