Ontayaki

Created pottery in the Onta Sarayama district, located in the mountains of Hita City, Oita Prefecture.

Even today, they continue to make their pottery by hand without using machines.

Currently, 5 of the 9 makers operate joint kilns, and 4 operate private kilns.
