Shodai Mizuho Kiln It is said to have started in 1604 when it was made by potters from the Korean peninsula who came with Prince Kiyomasa Kato.


Rui Fukuda (Kumamoto Prefecture)
Born in 1964 in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Graduated from Kyushu Sangyo University, Faculty of Fine Arts. After making pottery at Ojiro Mizuho kiln, he studied under Tatsuzo Shimaoka in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture. After that, he returned to his hometown and made pottery again at Ojiro Mizuho Kiln.
Exhibitions are widely held in places such as Kumamoto, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, and Germany.
